The idea of a river wine excursion is not a new one, but rarely does a winery get to control the entire ship! Through the years Brion has toured many wine regions of the world but he particularly fell in love with the wines, rich history and area of Bordeaux. He had the idea to share his experiences with you, so in November last year Ronda and Elizabeth embarked to Bordeaux on an Ama Waterways cruise and had a truly wonderful time enjoying the food, wine, culture and people. The ship is lovely in every way and experiencing the region on a river cruise is an excellent, no-stress way to see it all while tasting incredible wines.
The ship’s itinerary is excellent, but we are adding many of our own special touches to make the journey unforgettable. To begin, our team has put together an exclusive private lunch and wine tasting at the historic Chateau Durfort-Vivens in Margaux. We will be treated to a private food and wine pairing at Le 7 Restaurant atop Cite du Vin- Bordeaux’s famous wine museum and cultural space, which is a must see with magnificent 360 degree views of the city. We will have our own signature BRION dinner on board the ship and throughout the week you will enjoy numerous special Bordeaux wines with our evening meals as well as our own favorites from the BRION and B. Wise portfolio. As plans progress there will be additional surprises in store…We promise an unforgettable celebration of gourmet food, stellar wine, travel, discovery and fun.
