Most of all, Roman gives \u201cvoice\u201d to his wines, produced by profound experience developed on three continents. It all began with the dream of a 16-year-old boy from Rottweil in Germany\u2019s Black Forest region.<\/p>\n<p>He earned his Master Winemaker and Cellar Master degrees from Weinsberg\u2019s College for Oenology and Viticulture.<\/p>\n<p>In 1992, Roman became the first winemaker at W\u00f6lffer Estate Vineyard. He established the estate\u2019s distinctive character of food-friendly, elegant wines reflective of the Long Island\u2019s distinct terroir. He has dedicated himself to promoting not only the wines of W\u00f6lffer Estate, but of Long Island, where he has consulted with numerous vineyards and served as the President of the Long Island Wine Council from 2016 \u2013 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Recent honors include having two W\u00f6lffer Estate wines make recent \u201cTop 100\u201d lists from <strong>Wine Spectator<\/strong> and <strong>Wine Enthusiast<\/strong>; being honored as the highest-rated wines in Long Island history; and having W\u00f6lffer Estate wines served in the White House over the past two decades.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re invited!
