Over the course of almost two decades, Nova Cadamatre has become one of the most versatile and experienced winemakers in the industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Viticulture from Cornell University. In 2017 Nova achieved the title of Master of Wine, the first female winemaker in the USA to do so.

Nova has worked with some of the best vineyards in the world including significant time in Napa Valley’s iconic To Kalon Vineyard while working as the Senior Director of Winemaking for Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville, CA. While there she crafted the #6 wine of 2022 for Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list.

She has been named Wine Enthusiast’s Top 40 under 40 list and has numerous 90+ scoring wines to her credit from both coasts. Now at Heron Hill as the head consulting winemaker, Nova is leading harvest and spearheading all winemaking and production for this famous, long-standing Finger Lakes Winery with vineyards and tasting rooms on the shores of Canandaigua and Keuka Lakes.

Enjoy onboard her prized Finger Lakes wines in two special tasting events and a paired dinner, where the wines of Heron Hill will be contrasted with the wines of Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria’s Wachau Valley.

This is a special 7-night deluxe river cruise down the Blue Danube, sailing from Vilshofen Bavaria to Budapest Hungary aboard the ship AmaVerde. There are also two optional land tours:

• PRE-CRUISE – a special 3-night pre-cruise tour of delightful Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, a beautiful medieval city never destroyed during WWII
