Meet Doug & Sue Robinson
Married for 42 years, the Doug & Sue Robinson story began in the early 2000s in Mexico’s beautiful Valle de Guadalupe, where we lived full-time and planted our first Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard. With the generous support of Santo Tomás Winery, we produced our first two vintages using their winemaking equipment. Those early experiences confirmed that wine would become our life passion, leading to our purchase and development of Correcaminos Vineyard.

In 2009, we purchased our property in Ramona and began planting vineyards in 2011. Today, Correcaminos Vineyard is a true family-operated boutique winery, producing approximately 600 cases of handcrafted wine each year. From caring for the vines to making the wine and welcoming guests to our tasting patio, we do it all ourselves.

Doug Robinson
Doug has spent much of his life around motor sports. He is a former motorcycle, off-road, and rally racer, winning the 1983 Baja 1000 Class 3 Championship in a Jeep CJ-7 and the 2001 SCCA ProRally Group 2 Championship. His favorite career, aside from the winery, was directing the Rally Program for the Sports Car Club of America!

Sue Robinson
Sue currently serves as President of the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association and is passionate about promoting the Ramona Valley wine region. Sue’s lifelong love of horses led to an accomplished endurance riding career. She successfully completed the legendary Tevis Cup 100-mile ride twice, won the 1988 National 1,000-Mile Horse Competition with the fastest time and Best Conditioned Horse honors, and now serves on the Tevis Cup Committee as a Ride Steward.

We invite you to join us for a special Rhine River Christmas Markets Cruise in conjunction with our neighbors Ramona Ranch Vineyard & Winery. On board we will conduct two tastings and a paired dinner with the wines of both Correcaminos Vineyard and Ramona Ranch. More importantly, we’ll see a special side of Europe not experienced by most Americans, during an off-peak travel time with cool weather, colorful Christmas markets and good cheer all round.
