Ramona Ranch Winery
Micole Moore and Teri Kerns moved to Ramona in 2004 with dreams of creating a small country life — complete with a garden, chickens, rescue animals, and a horse or two. What they quickly discovered was something even more special: Ramona’s rolling hills and warm days create an incredible place to grow wine grapes and craft distinctive wines.
In 2006, the Ramona Valley officially became an American Viticultural Area (AVA), and Ramona Ranch planted its first vineyard shortly thereafter. Today, Ramona Ranch Vineyard & Winery is proud to be San Diego County’s only Certified Sustainable vineyard and winery through the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA), crafting small-lot estate wines rooted in agriculture, hospitality, and community.
Over the years, Ramona Ranch has become known not just for handcrafted wines like Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese, Tannat, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Coastal Cowgirl Chardonnay — but for creating meaningful experiences shared around the table with friends old and new.
Since 2017, we’ve had the joy of traveling with our wine club members and guests throughout Portugal, France, Germany, the Danube and Balkan region, Alaska, Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail, Tequila, Mexico, and New Orleans. These journeys have become much more than vacations — they’ve become friendships, stories, laughter, and unforgettable shared memories.
Now, in partnership with Expanding Horizons and Globus — one of Europe’s most respected guided tour companies since 1928 — we invite you to join us for a custom journey through Ireland and Scotland. Together we’ll experience breathtaking landscapes, historic castles, cozy pubs, distilleries, incredible local food, and the rich culture and history that make these countries so beloved.
Along the way, we’ll gather over great meals, local wines and spirits, and perhaps even a few bottles from Ramona Ranch shared among friends. Most importantly, we’ll travel together — the Ramona Ranch way — relaxed, welcoming, curious, and full of connection.
